My professional work sits between frontend engineering, design, and the people doing that work. At HashiCorp, I've led design systems work and helped bring Helios into the open. Before that, I worked at Heroku.

I'm interested in what makes a shared foundation useful in practice: whether someone can find what they need, understand the tradeoffs, and get on with their work. A component library is part of that. So are the documentation and the team behind it.

ClimbingNarc started with something I wanted to be able to find on the internet: climbing news gathered in one place. I ended up making that place myself.

I've been climbing since 1999. I also spend time with movies. ClimbingNarc is one example of what happens when an interest turns into something I want to make.
